Abundance Agenda

Sometimes it looks like the streets plowed every hour, rumbling machinery in falling snow

sometimes it’s a cork swept off the table, glass fragments on the floor, shards scattered to the corners,

heat pumping, plans for shows later in the year, dishes in the sink, cars snowed in,

freezing temps, ICE occupations and meanwhile warm domestic glow of broken bowls and emptied bottles,

napkins folded and placed back in the drawer, the excess of a napkin drawer, the pleasure of hosting,

insufficiency of forks, insufficiency of America, dreams of the melting pot, the American dream,

the boot, the bootlicker, the salt on the streets to keep the ice from freezing

Grandmother’s china, war against fascism, fascism at home, Cabaret and the second act, cars in the street abandoned, abducted driver,

domestic scene, snow globe world, glass breaking, break the glass, sound the alarm, splinters of illusions,

blood from pinprick, blood from a stone, stones thrown, shots fired, off to bed, nothing to see here
